George Enescu Memorial House in Liveni
The “George Enescu” Memorial House is in the village of Liveni, George Enescu commune, Botoșani County. The Moldavian-style dwelling preserves the atmosphere of the house where the composer was born. The exhibition brings together family objects and accounts of his early years.
The rooms display the piano, a toy violin, his drawing set and photos of his parents. Documents and scores connect his childhood with his later musical career. Furniture, textiles and household objects complete the collection, managed by the Botoșani County Museum. The small house has a wooden porch and rooms with traditional Moldavian woven rugs.
