George Weah

George Weah is a former Liberian striker who stood out for his strength, speed and dribbling on the run. He played for Monaco, Paris Saint-Germain and AC Milan, becoming, in 1995, the first African footballer to win the Ballon d'Or. He could start with the ball away from the goal and cut through the opposing defense with spectacular individual actions. His achievements at major European clubs have made him an inspiration for African football and for young players in Liberia.
