The TV show "Gossip Girl"

Welcome to the Upper East Side, New York, where the rich try to cope with their always-dramatic love lives while also having to make the best choice of college. Blair Waldorf, along with her friends Kati Farkas and Isabel Coates, attends high school and exclusive parties alongside their rich parents. Blair is envied by her rivals because she supposedly has a perfect life: not only does she have a handsome boyfriend, Nate Archibald, but she also plans to attend her dream college, Yale. While everyone is busy with their college choices and their high school years, her perfect life is disrupted by her former best friend, Serena van der Woodsen, who returns to town after being kicked out of boarding school. Serena re-enters Blair’s life and wins the favor of Blair’s boyfriend, Nate. When everything starts to fall apart, Blair realizes that her life was not exactly perfect. Will life on the Upper East Side change, or will it turn out that the rich have the same problems as the less wealthy (Jenny and Dan Humphrey), and that Jenny and Dan may be much happier with their simpler, less extravagant life?
