Grădiște Hill in Slatina

The Grădiște hill rises above the old center of Slatina, near the Olt valley. From the hilltop you can see the roofs of the old houses, the churches and the buildings of the central area, and the neighborhoods of the modern city appear further on. The difference in level makes it easy to follow how Slatina expanded from the settlement by the river to the higher terraces.

On the hill is the civil wedding hall, in a space arranged with alleys and vegetation. The walk focuses on the hilltop and the points from where the view opens to the city and Olt. It is an open-air lookout; the building intended for civil ceremonies does not offer an interior tourist route.
