Great Synagogue in Fălticeni
Fălticeni, Suceava
The Great Synagogue of Fălticeni is located on Ana Ipătescu street no. 149. It was built of wood in 1795 and rebuilt in stone and brick in 1852. The building is set back from the street.
The market town of Fălticeni was founded in 1779, and the 1780 contract with the owner of the estate gave the Jews the right to build a synagogue, provided that the outside looked like any other house.
