The movie "Green Lantern" 2011

Somewhere in space, in a universe as vast as it is mysterious, there has been for centuries a seemingly insignificant force, capable in reality of unleashing unsuspected powers. Messengers of peace and justice, they are the Green Lantern soldiers, the Protectors of the Universe themselves. They form a brotherhood of warriors dedicated to maintaining intergalactic order, and each Green Lantern is given a green ring that grants superpowers. As the new enemy, Parallax, threatens to destroy the balance of power in the universe, both their fate and that of Earth depend on their newest recruit, the first human ever selected to join their ranks: an exceptional pilot, Hal Jordan (Ryan Reynolds).
