Gyárfás Jenő Art Gallery in Sfântu Gheorghe

Sfântu Gheorghe, Covasna

The Gyárfás Jenő Art Gallery belongs to the Szekler National Museum in Sfântu Gheorghe and is named after the painter Gyárfás Jenő. The collection started with the 137 paintings and sculptures donated by Emília Zathurecky, the museum's founder, when it moved to the city in 1879.

Works from the collection were exhibited in Budapest and Paris in 1896 and 1900. The gallery presents painting and sculpture from Transylvania, from nineteenth-century portraits to modern art.
