The movie "Hachi: A Dog's Tale" 2009

Inspired by a true story that took place in Japan in the early twentieth century, this drama follows the special relationship that spontaneously developed between a university professor and a dog he finds on the street and takes into his home. For years, the loyal animal Hachi accompanies his master to the railway station every morning and waits for him every evening at the same time and in the same place to return from work. One fateful day, however, the professor dies suddenly of a heart attack. For 9 years, Hachiko goes to the train station every day to meet his master, surprising the locals with his devotion and teaching them a lesson about love, loyalty and compassion. This is a remake of the 1987 Japanese film Hachiko Monogatari.
