Harghita Băi
Harghita Băi is a mountain resort in Harghita County, located at approximately 1,350 meters above sea level. Administratively, the locality belongs to the municipality of Miercurea Ciuc, although it is separated from the city by the mountain area. The settlement occupies a plateau below the eastern slope of the Harghita-Ciceului peak, between conifer forests and volcanic peaks formed by andesite.
The development of the resort is linked to mineral springs and mofettes, places where natural gases emerge from the ground. In the cold season, activities are centered around the slopes and winter sports facilities. In the summer, marked trails start towards the surrounding mountains, and the area can also be cycled through the landscaped routes. Road access is from DN 13A, then on the county road that goes up to the resort.
