Herpetophobia

Lizards and snakes are the reptiles most often feared by people with herpetophobia, a phobia related to the fear of snakes, ophidiophobia. The name comes from the Greek herpeton, “creeping animal”. The reaction can range from mild unease to panic attacks or, most often, nausea, and some cannot even stand knowing that a reptile is nearby.
