Historic Center of Slatina
The historic center of Slatina preserves the structure of a market town that developed near the Olt, between Grădiște Hill and the modern city areas. Commercial houses, former hotels and administrative buildings from the nineteenth and twentieth centuries follow each other on the streets of Lipscani, București and the surrounding area. The facades have cornices, frames and balconies that can be noticed during a walk.
Among the landmarks are the former Grand Hotel Regal, the building of the Minerva Confectionery and the old school buildings. The narrow streets and built fronts keep a different scale from the boulevards of the new neighborhoods. The route is mainly outside; buildings have different uses and access to each interior depends on the institution or owner using it.
