Holy Trinity Cathedral in Vatra Dornei

The Holy Trinity Cathedral from Vatra Dornei is located on the edge of the Municipal Park, on Parcului street. The construction began in 1991, according to the project of the architect Gheorghe Bratiloveanu and the engineer Gheorghe Gemeniuc, and the church was consecrated in 2002. The towers rise above the trees and can be seen from several points of the center of the resort.

The facade has a porch supported by columns and a wide access staircase. The seven towers have a religious significance, referring to the seven Mysteries of the Church. From the park one can follow the composition of the building and its relationship with the nearby wooded slope. The cathedral is an active place of worship, and visiting the interior is done with respect for religious services.
