Horse

Domesticated by people in Central Asia around 4000 BC, the horse had become widespread by 3000 BC. It is a mammal with a single toe on each leg, ending in a hoof. It evolved over 45–55 million years from a small animal with several toes, Eohippus, which lived in North America.
