Hunkiar Mosque in Constanța

Hunkiar Mosque, also called Aziziye, is located on Tomis boulevard no. 41, in the old town of Constanța. It was founded by Sultan Abdulaziz and put into use in 1869.
It was built of stone carved by Turkish masons, with 85-centimeter thick walls and a hipped roof covered with curved tiles. Inside, the prayer niche is decorated with ceramic tiles. It is a historical monument.
