Ioan Slavici Classical Theatre

The Classical Theater "Ioan Slavici" is located on Revoluției Boulevard in Arad. The building was erected between 1872 and 1874 and was inaugurated in the presence of Emperor Franz Joseph. The main facade, with columns and a pediment, closes the view to one of the city's central squares.
The building went through restorations and modernizations, and the current appearance of the facade was outlined in the years 1958–1960. In 1883, a fire destroyed the building, which was rebuilt and reopened in 1885. The old main entrance was on the side facing the Crucea Albă hotel.
