Ion Crișan Zoo in Reșița

The Ion Crișan Zoo is located in the green area of Reșița, on Parcului street. The name recalls the teacher who started a small garden with animals in the high school yard, before they were moved to the city park. The enclosure has been extended and modernized, with animal shelters and viewing areas along the paths.

The visitor route passes animal shelters and information panels within grounds that retain the character of a park. Maintenance work is announced in autumn 2026 and some sectors may remain temporarily closed, although general access is allowed. The open paths and boundaries in the premises determine the route available during the works.
