Irish Wolfhound

Irish Wolfhound

Ireland
The Irish Wolfhound is the largest and tallest of the sighthounds, a dog with rough fur and an imposing appearance but gracefully built. It was already well known in Ireland in the first century AD and is today one of the five official symbols of Ireland. The standard describes it as "a lamb at home and a lion on the hunt".
