Izvorul Muntelui – Bicaz Lake

Izvorul Muntelui Lake, also known as Bicaz Lake, lies in Neamț County, at the foot of the Ceahlău massif. It is a reservoir, bordered by wooded slopes and by villages in the Bistrița Valley. The dam and the shore offer views across the water. At certain times of year, local operators offer water sports and boat trips. The water level can vary with the way the reservoir is operated. A visit can be combined with a trip to Ceahlău or with stops in the villages around the lake.
