The Jagdterrier (German hunting terrier) is a small, compact and powerful terrier, usually black with reddish, created after the First World War for one purpose: hunting. It is especially suitable for hunting in burrows and for flushing game. The standard describes it as brave, tough, hardworking, hardy and full of temperament.
