Kálnoky Castle in Micloșoara

The Kálnoky Castle in Micloșoara is located in the village of Micloșoara, which belongs to the town of Baraolt, Covasna county. The old noble residence, developed from the seventeenth century onward, has been restored and transformed into the Museum of Transylvanian Life. The building and the park remain tied to the history of the Kálnoky family.

The rooms are fitted out with furniture, art objects, stoves and everyday objects that recreate the life of the Transylvanian aristocracy. The drawing rooms, the dining room and other spaces show how a country house was organized.
