Kinetic Fountain in Reșița

The Kinetic Fountain is located in 1 Decembrie 1918 Square in the center of Reșița. Created by the sculptor Constantin Lucaci, the work combines metal forms with water and movement, in a large composition that can be seen from several points of the square. Glossy surfaces and abstract volumes refer to the defining material for the city's industrial history.

Stopping at the fountain is part of a walk through the civic center and allows you to examine its sculptural details from the pedestrian area. The appearance of the work changes depending on the light and the operation of the water installation, which can be stopped seasonally or for maintenance. Even then, the metal composition remains visible as a work of art in the open air.
