Koala

Although it is sometimes called the “koala bear”, the koala is a marsupial, and its closest relatives are wombats. It lives in the trees of eastern and southern Australia and eats mainly eucalyptus leaves. It is recognised by its stout, tailless body, large head, round fluffy ears and large dark nose.
