The Kuvasz is an old Hungarian shepherd, large and powerful, with thick, wavy white fur. His ancestors arrived in the Carpathian basin with the Hungarians and guarded the herds against wild animals and thieves. The standard describes him as brave, fearless, faithful and very devoted to his master.
