Lagotto Romagnolo
Italy
The Lagotto Romagnolo is a small to medium-sized, robust Italian dog with a thick, curly, wool-like coat. He was an old water dog from the marshes of Romagna, and after they dried up he became an excellent truffle hunter. AKC says it is the only breed recognized as a specialist in finding truffles.
