Life-Giving Spring Wooden Church in Carei
The wooden church Izvorul Tămăduirii is located in the yard of the Municipal Hospital in Carei. It is an Orthodox church built in the style of Maramureș between 2002 and 2003, at the initiative of priest Leontin Sălăjan. The craftsman Vasile Rad, from Budești, Maramureș county, made the wooden construction, with a high roof and a slender tower.
The church was consecrated in July 2006, and the interior painting was executed by Macarie Filip in the period 2006-2008. The church also has a concrete role in the life of the hospital: services are held here, and patients can benefit from religious assistance. The location within the hospital precincts requires respecting the access and tranquility of this space.
