Lotrișor Waterfall

Lotrișor Valley, Vâlcea

Lotrișor waterfall is located in the valley of the same name, in Vâlcea county, near Călimănești. The road to it leaves the Olt Valley and follows the stream through a wooded corridor of the Cozia National Park. Next to the waterfall, the water falls past a rocky wall, in a narrow space, surrounded by vegetation and steep slopes.

Walking through the valley is part of the visit: on the way there are rocks, shaded sections of the forest and places where the stream can be watched up close. The route has biodiversity panels, small tables and benches for stopping. Tourist access to the valley is on foot or by bicycle, respecting the posted restrictions. From the parking lot at the entrance to the forest road, the walk to the waterfall takes an average of 35–40 minutes, according to the park administration.
