Macaw

Macaws are large parrots from the Americas, with long tails and often very colourful feathers. Compared with other parrots, they have larger beaks and a patch of almost bare, light-coloured skin on the face. There are 19 species, some extinct or endangered, and the largest are the hyacinth macaw, the great green macaw and the green-winged macaw.
