Marcel Guguianu Exhibition Pavilion

The Marcel Guguianu Exhibition Pavilion in Bârlad presents the sculptor’s work in a building designed specifically for his collection, on Marcel Guguianu Street. The donation made in 1997 formed the basis of the museum dedicated to the artist, opened to the public in 2004 and expanded in 2008. The pavilion is housed separately from the main building of the Vasile Pârvan Museum, to which it belongs administratively.

The exhibition brings together sculptures, models, drawings and personal objects of the artist. Furniture and work tools help recreate the workshop, and the works inside can be viewed from several angles. Marble sculptures are placed in the garden. The visit follows Guguianu's work and the relationship between the modeled figures, the material and the space around them.
