The Mihai Eminescu monument in Galați was sculpted in white marble by Frederic Storck and unveiled on October 16, 1911, in the city park.
Eminescu's bust emerges from a marble rock, and from the same plinth rises his muse, a woman holding a torch. Mihail Sadoveanu, Dimitrie Anghel and Ion Minulescu were present at the unveiling.
