The Mihai Eminescu Theater in Botoșani was established on July 1, 1958 and operates in a building designed by the architect Grigore Cerchez.
It is the city's municipal performing arts institution. The building is a historical monument; preparations for its consolidation and restoration began in 2013, and the work started in 2014.
