Mill Pond Park

The Iazul Morilor park in Buzău brings back the name of the old watercourse used by workshops and mills to the city landscape. The development has two man-made ponds and a promenade of about 250 meters. Near the water is a building with a mill wheel, modeled after a mill from 1932.

The old watercourse supplied grain milling, wool processing and tannery facilities. The park evokes this history through the water, the mill wheel and the boardwalk. The building designed here houses the Iazul Morilor Center, which organizes cultural and educational activities. The walk takes place outside, around the ponds and on the paths of the park; the center's activities have a separate program from the use of the green space.
