Moneasa

Moneasa is located in Arad County, at the foot of the Codru-Moma Mountains, on the river valley of the same name. The resort developed around the mineral springs, used since the nineteenth century. The woods on the slopes and the buildings of the old resort form the framework of the leisure center.

In the locality there are spa facilities, an outdoor swimming pool and works of stone sculpture. Karst formations and traces of marble mining can be found in the surroundings. Mining of black and red marble left quarries in the vicinity of the resort. In its center there is an outdoor sculpture gallery.
