Mulan

The only child of an aging war veteran, Mulan disguises herself as a man and joins the army in place of her frail father. Disney's Mulan (1998) is based on the legend of the Chinese warrior Hua Mulan from the Ballad of Mulan. She is the eighth Disney Princess, even though she is not a princess in the film; her speaking voice is Ming-Na Wen's and her singing voice is Lea Salonga's.
