Mykonos

Mykonos

Greece
Nicknamed “The Island of the Winds” because of its very strong winds, Mykonos is part of the Greek Cyclades. Its symbol is the windmills built by the Venetians in the 16th century to grind flour, while in Little Venice the fishermen's houses have balconies hanging over the sea. Just 2 km away lies the island of Delos, where French archaeologists began excavating in 1873.
