Nafplio
Peloponnese, Greece
Nafplio is a city on the shores of the Argolic Gulf, in the Peloponnese peninsula. The Palamidi fortress, the Bourtzi fortress and the narrow streets of the old center retain traces of its Venetian and neoclassical past. The squares, colorful houses and promenade by the sea complete the atmosphere of this former capital of modern Greece.
