National Museum of Contemporary Art

Bucharest

In the back wing of the Palace of the Parliament in Bucharest is the National Museum of Contemporary Art, known as MNAC. The institution was founded in 2001, and its venue in the palace opened in 2004. The glass facade and exterior elevators mark the entrance to the museum.

The collection includes works from the post-war period, and the exhibitions use painting, sculpture, graphics, video art and digital media. The program also includes experimental film, performance and dance. Access to the museum is from Calea 13 Septembrie, through gate B3, separate from the main entrance of the Parliament.
