National Museum of Transylvanian History

Cluj-Napoca, Cluj County

The National Museum of Transylvanian History is located in the center of Cluj, on Constantin Daicoviciu street. The exhibition "Untold treasures. The history of Transylvania through objects", opened in 2026, traces the past of the region from prehistoric times to the threshold of the contemporary world.

Vessels, weapons and archaeological discoveries show the way the communities in this part of the country lived. Among the objects on display are a vessel with a human face, a Dacian sword and a Roman parade mask. Each provides an example of crafts, beliefs or everyday life. The journey through the ages helps to understand the changes that Transylvania went through.
