Natural History and Hunting Museum in Vatra Dornei
The Museum of Natural Sciences and Hunting in Vatra Dornei is located on Unirii street and presents the fauna and flora of the Țara Dornelor. Dioramas place animals in settings inspired by their habitats, and the succession of exhibits follows fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds and mammals. Among the scenes on display is a deer surrounded by wolves in a winter landscape.
On the ground floor, the hunting section traces the history of hunting and its relationship with the forests of Suceava county. Arrangements used for feeding animals in winter, the development of antlers in cervids and objects made from antlers or furs are presented. A hunting interior and trophy room complete the circuit. The collections are exhibited indoors and can be visited regardless of the weather outside.
