Nicolae Grigorescu Memorial Museum
The Nicolae Grigorescu Memorial Museum in Câmpina evokes the painter’s last years and the studio where he worked. The original house was destroyed during the First World War, and the museum building was rebuilt later. The house, with its porch and exposed woodwork, sets the scene for the rooms dedicated to the artist.
Inside you can see paintings, furniture and objects related to Grigorescu's life, along a route that includes the reconstructed studio. The visit links the works to the studio and to the painter’s artistic interests, rather than showing the paintings in isolation. The museum is administered by the Prahova County Museum of Art, and opening hours and access conditions should be checked with the museum before visiting.
