Noctiphobia
Fear of nighttime
Noctiphobia, the fear of night, takes its name from the Latin nox, “night”, and is closely linked to the fear of the dark. Fear of the dark is common in young children: it rarely appears before age two and is strongest around age four. Most children outgrow it, but for some it remains as a phobia.
