Oaș Region Museum
The Oaș Country Museum in Negrești-Oaș, Satu Mare county, brings together traditional households, technical installations and collections of folk wear. Established in 1966, the museum has an open-air sector on the banks of the Tur and an ethnographic exhibition that documents the life of the Oșeni communities.
Among the buildings brought here are the wooden church from Lechința and houses from Racșa, Moișeni and Negrești. Furniture, fabrics, icons and tools are seen in the households. The grain mill, fulling mill and water-powered washing vat show how water was used for grinding and processing woolen fabrics.
