Observation Tower in Sovata

The lookout tower in Sovata, Mureș county, is 28 meters high and rises above the forested hills of the resort. The wooden construction offers an observation platform over the central, northern and eastern parts of the city. From above you can see the roofs of Sovata and the surrounding forest-covered peaks.

From the Ursu Lake area, you can reach the tower on the Western Tourist Alley, passing the salt sinkholes and the road to Tivoli Lake. Another access is from Privighetorii street. The internal staircase goes up to the upper platform, so the visit involves climbing the steps of the tower. In the cold season, the tower can be closed; access must be checked before climbing.
