Octophobia
Fear of the number 8
The number 8 makes a person with octophobia uneasy, and the name comes from the Greek okto, “eight”. Some fear its shape, which resembles the infinity sign. Those affected may avoid houses numbered 8, or even calendars and the month of August, the eighth month of the year.
