Ombrophobia
Fear of rain
The Greek ombros, “rainstorm”, is the root of the word ombrophobia, the fear of rain. Botanists use a related word, ombrophobe, for plants that cannot withstand much rain, a term introduced in the 19th century by Julius Wiesner.
