Palace of Agriculture in Brăila
Palatul Agriculturii is located on Calea Călărașilor, near Independence Square in Brăila. The building was built between 1923 and 1929 according to the project of the architect Florea Stănculescu. The symmetrical facade, high roof and upper story arches provide enough detail for a stop during a walk through the city. The central entrance and the recessed portions of the facade can be seen from the public space, without entering the building.
The palace is also interesting for its proximity to the more recent developments of the administrative center. A look from the opposite side of the street allows comparing its volume with the surrounding ensemble, then observing the framing and decoration up close. The building has an administrative function and can be admired from the outside; a tourist circuit through the interior is not confirmed.
