Palace of Parliament

The Palace of Parliament is located on Arsenalului Hill in Bucharest, at the end of Unirii Boulevard. The building, also known as the People's House, was built during the communist regime, to a design led by the architect Anca Petrescu. The long facades, columns and stacked tiers can be seen from both Constitution Square and Izvor Park.
Inside there are reception rooms, galleries and monumental staircases, decorated with marble, carved wood and chandeliers. The size of the rooms and the sheer quantity of materials used set the palace apart from the capital's other administrative buildings.
