Păltiniș

The Păltiniș resort is located in the Cindrel Mountains, in Sibiu County. It was founded in 1894 by the Societatea Carpatină Ardeleană a Turiștilor, and the first cabins were inspired by Tyrolean alpine architecture. The conifer forest and a network of footpaths surround the resort, which is also known for winter activities. Sibiu can also be reached by bus, according to county tourist information. For hiking, choose routes suitable for the season and consult Salvamont. Check lift hours and ski conditions separately with the local ski area operators.
