Parva Curia in Deva
Parva Curia in Deva is a historic residence built at the end of the eighteenth century by Franciska Pogány, on land belonging to the Deva Citadel and Bethlen Castle. Its name, translated as "small court", refers to the model offered by the Magna Curia. The building has an H-shaped plan with an elongated central body and side wings reminiscent of the corner towers of the old residences.
After 1867, the building housed for a time the county administration and a military hospital, and was later donated to the Boys' Teacher Training School. Successive transformations simplified the facades; the molded cornice retains some of the old decoration. The Deva Town Hall presents the building among the historical sights of the city. The building can be seen from the outside.
