Pittner School Cultural Center

Reșița, Caraș-Severin

The Pittner School Cultural Center occupies the historic house at 13 Furnalelor Street, in Reșița Montană. At the beginning of the twentieth century, August and Helene Pittner ran a private school here on the ground floor, while the family lived upstairs. After periods of residential use and decay, the building was restored for cultural activities.

The opening of the center in 2025 brought contemporary art exhibitions, and the courtyard and halls hosted meetings, workshops and events related to Reșița's industrial heritage. The visit connects the history of a neighborhood school with the current use of the house. Access to exhibitions and activities follows the center’s calendar, which you should check for the dates of your visit.
