Podenco Ibicenco
Spain (Balearic Islands)
The Podenco Ibicenco (Ibiza Hound) is a primitive, slender and elegant dog from the Balearic Islands with large, straight ears and amber eyes. The FCI standard says that representations of these dogs appear in the tombs of the pharaohs, which proves the existence of the type as early as around 3400 BC. He is balanced, affectionate, loyal and very athletic.
